New blackprint editions
Featuring Eva Iten, Olli Bery and Alexander Bühler
blackprint edition “The landscape we lose”#02 by Eva Iten on Awagami Bizan paper. Size paper: 59 × 81 cm. 7 different artworks – Limited Edition of 7.
‘The landscape we lose’ by Eva Iten
The first blackprint edition signed by Eva Iten is available! A unique perspective over the underwater world in black and white photographs printed on a very special handmade Japanese paper.
Her series is called “The landscape we lose” and aims to raise awareness about the critical situation of the coral reefs. The photographs show living and dying coral reefs as well as the marine life that depends on them. They reveal a complete ecosystem that can soon be lost.
“In November 2019, I dived in Sulawesi. I was deeply impressed by the beautiful and partly still intact underwater world. Having dived many times in other areas, I saw the difference between an intact and a dying reef. The idea behind the series “The landscape we lose” is to capture the wonderful underwater world, the as-is situation, and make it accessible to as many people as possible.”
Seven artworks of this collection are available in limited editions of 7 copies.
They are numbered and signed by the artist.
Eva Iten and blackprint support the swiss / german association rrreefs with 10% of the proceeds from the sale of the edition “The landscape we lose”. rrreefs are winner of the SEIF and Planet Hero Awards 2021 for their project to rebuild and regenerate threatened coral reefs around the world.

‘Sturmfrei’ & ‘Here silence stands like heat’ by Olli Bery
Olli Bery is a French photographer with a very direct approach that leaves no room for concessions. He developed his photographic language around reality, which allows him to exhibit the unusual, but also recognizable, face of the world. His works are a vibrant dialogue that takes place in an intimate environment.
The “Sturmfrei” edition exhibits the punk flavour of Olli Bery’s works. One can easily see the profound relationship between subject and photographer, the intimate environment, and the playfulness of the medium. Time and space are modestly altered to reveal new perspectives. Although nothing is pretentious, everything is exquisite. Although nothing is forced, everything is in place. It’s a well-conducted harmony that touches the viewer’s heart, raises questions, and embraces the fluidity of life.
“The importance of modesty expressed through materials, forms but also through the alteration of time and perspective reveals my intimacy with the objects, places, and people photographed.”
The “Sturmfrei” edition is printed on handmade paper from Bhutan and hung in a custom-made designed frame from blackprint. The artworks of this collection are available in limited editions of 5 copies. They are numbered and signed by the artist.
The “Here silence stands like heat” edition is a portfolio of 12 photographs from the ZERO NOWHERE series, which is the third and final part of the work Olli Bery began in 2012. From all his works, this series resembles the most a musical piece, having a strict but playful structure and recognisable theme.
The artworks of the “Here silence stands like heat” edition are black prints on black handmade abaca paper laminated between two plies of glass.
They are available in limited editions of 3 serial unique pieces. They are numbered and signed by the artist.
Both editions are provided with a digital Verisart certificate of authenticity on the blockchain.
‘Memory of a festive event’ by Alexander Bühler
First physical blackprint edition bound to a digital NFT .
Alexander Bühler’s new edition “Memory of a festive event” is the first blackprint edition bounded to a Non-Fungible Token project on the Tezos low carbon blockchain.
Alexander Bühler dedicates the “Memory of a festive event” edition to remembrance. Inspired by a flower bouquet received by his mother on her 80’s birthday, Bühler focuses on the ephemeral and transitory appearance of life. But instead of mourning the past, he celebrates the present and encapsulates the memory in his art. And what better subject to document the temporal dimension of life than flowers?
This edition is Alexander Bühler’s way of showing his appreciation and esteem for the people he loves. And although the artist uses dried flowers with faded colours, the memory of a moment, of a person, and of a profound relationship are kept alive through his artworks.
For this edition, he used his mother’s dried flowers to create arrangements and photocopying to transfer them on paper. As if this wasn’t enough to capture the essence of the feeling, the artist used the copier to overlap multiple images. Signs of photocopying and the shifts produced by the multiplication of photocopies are still present in the prints. The artist’s dedication and attention to detail break through from every pixel.
The “Memory of a festive event” edition includes six archival pigment prints made from scans of A4 laser printing paper. They are printed on a handmade washi Awagami Bizan.
Non-fungible Token Edition on the Tezos low carbon blockchain.
This edition is a new beginning in other ways as well. It will be linked to a series of NFTs that Alexander Bühler will produce in parallel with the blockchain Tezos. The artist will create another 13 NFTs from photocopies of the same event used to make this edition.
Divided as follows:

10 topics will be 1/1 NFT, 1 topic will be an NFT of 25 copies.
The last one will be an NFT of 54 copies reserved only for collectors of the blackprint edition.
The NFT collection will be available on the Tezos NFT markeplace – Objkt.com –
