As light as air
Dear Friends,
On January 13, 1908 Henry Farman became the first aviator to succeed in covering 1,000 m with his Farman HF-I biplane. On 19 and 27 July 1909, Hubert Latham failed to cross the English Channel with his monoplane “Antoinette”, making him the first pilot to land an aircraft on the water (successful crossing by Louis Blériot on 25 July 1909). One month later Latham obtained the world record in altitude flight: 155 m.
It was the beginning of the “Golden Age of Aviation” and all the enthusiasts and pioneers such as Farman and Latham were constantly modifying and adapting their planes in order to fly higher and further.

The Lockdown has prevented us from completing several contemporary editions that we were working on. On the other hand side it made it possible to refine new historical editions – always from an original glass plate of our collection – with the airplanes and airships of Farman, Latham and De la Vaulx and to update 6 framed down-feather photomicrographs.
Today these 10 new editions are available to our collectors and subscribers in a new private section.
Besides the free delivery option you can now also choose our studio in Zurich as pick-up and direct payment option for your chosen edition.
blackprint edition “airplane / airship” on Arches Velin BFK Rives® France ∞, natural white – 50 × 65 cm. Limited Edition of 15.
Since December 2016 we have self-produced over 60 black and white editions, both historical and contemporary.
The process of production and publication of each edition is never linear and consists of a long research and reflection including tests, several papers and black and white tones. The challenging times complicate our working progress as for anyone but impose even more the need to adapt and innovate in order to continue to produce and offer new editions with talented contemporary artists.
Photomicrographs , Piezography Pro on Awagami Washi. Limited Edition numbered.
Our opening hours have changed since the March 16th and we have adapted our reception at the studio to the current situation of COVID-19.
To avoid having several people at the same time, we recommend to book an appointment in advance by using the link below, by phone or email.
We wish you all the best in this extraordinary time, perseverance and mostly of all stay healthy and optimistic. We are looking forward to seeing you in the studio.
