blackprint is a contemporary gallery dedicated to photography and image-based art, and a black-and-white fine art print studio in Zurich.
The studio’s practice is rooted in monochrome printing, using the Piezography® Pro carbon pigment system on handcrafted Japanese Washi and select fine art papers, for artists, photographers, and institutions.
blackprint edition publishes limited works produced entirely in-house: carbon pigment prints from 19th-century glass plate negatives, collaborations with contemporary artists, and phygital editions.
The gallery represents artists working across analogue photography, video installation, drawing, and painting — presenting both studio-produced editions and works conceived independently by the artists themselves.
